Indications: Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication used to treat yeast (fungal) infections. It can be used to treat athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and candidiasis. Clotrimazole cream can also be used to treat pityriasis (tinea versicolor). Clotrimazole does not work for infections caused by viruses.

The 20 mg clotrimazole (Trimacort) cream contains:
1% of clotrimazole

The clotrimazole cream can be used to treat the following:
Fungal infections like athlete's foot, ringworm, jock itch, and yeast infections

How much and how often should you use the product?
Wash your hands before and after applying clotrimazole cream unless using it to treat a hand infection.
Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a small amount of the cream (typically twice daily) for two to four weeks.
Do not cover the treated area unless your doctor specifies it. Avoid using bandages or dressings as this prevents air circulation. A light cotton gauze dressing may be used.
Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared. If this happens, keep taking the medicine as prescribed. Skipping doses may also increase your risk of further infection that is resistant to antibiotics.
Apply clotrimazole cream at the same time each day.
Do not share your clotrimazole cream with another person even if you share the same symptoms.

Mechanism of Action:
Clotrimazole belongs to the azole group of antifungals that work by preventing the growth of fungi.
